In Southern California, it's basically summertime! For me, my friends, and my family, that means it's time to get together and grub! Here's a quick, healthy, and tasty summer favorite of mine that the whole gang will love—baked chili-lime salmon in foil. Get ready to get juicy!
I entered 2016 with the intention to get out of my comfort zone. I thoroughly and mindfully cultivated this seed within every fiber of my being and sought to travel more than I had in prior years. This year was an adventure! I frolicked in the snow in Colorado, cage-dived with sharks in the Central Pacific off the northern shore of Oahu, faced my fear of heights and ziplined on the Big Island of Hawaii, drove on the opposite side of the street and car in England, and experienced living in a real-life snowglobe in Iceland!
Tell me if this sounds familiar to you. You need a break from your usual day-to-day-sit-at-the-office-pretending-to-do-work-but-you're-actually-researching-your-next-move, so you embark on a mini escape somewhere else (to you, at this point, it doesn't even really matter where, as long as it's somewhere else).
Exactly one month ago, my love for movement and health changed dramatically. 200(ish) miles of sweat. (No) sleep. Sun. Stars. My Ragnar SoCal experience was moving, motivating, and more than what I could have ever expected it to be. It was so monumental that it took me a whole month to soak it all up and gather myself to write this. By the way, I love alliteration.
Growing up, I was an avid blogger on Xanga, Blogger, Tumblr, WordPress--you name it! Somewhere down the line, I felt like I lost my voice and stopped writing.
